Departements
Here's a little fun fact about French license plates: The last two numbers on the license plate (49 dans cet instance) refer to the Departement of France that the car is from. This car is from Maine-et-Loire, Departement, therefore it has a 49 (Angers is in that region). If it were to be a Parisian car, it would say 75. etc
